A topper in B. Com and Master's in English from the University of Jammu, Ravi K Dhar did his PhD from the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. Dr. Dhar started his career as a Lecturer in English at North-Eastern Hill University, Nagaland Campus, Medziphema. Thereafter, he went on to work as an Assistant Professor of English and Associate Professor of Journalism in the Dept. of Journalism, Languages and Culture of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He went on deputation to Ethiopian Civil Service College, now University, Addis Ababa, where he worked for over a year. Since June 2006, he has been working as Professor of Media and Communication Studies and the Director of Jagannath International Management School, Vasant Kunj, of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Dr. Dhar has been a member of a number of academic bodies in various universities. He has been a member of the University Court and is currently the member of the University Academic Council. A keen researcher, he has published and presented papers in the areas of Modern English Novel, Communication Policy, Online Communication, Communication Rights and Child Rights. He is the Founder Editor of Mass Communicator, an international journal of Communication Studies. He has also come out with three edited books, Indian Management: Theory & Practice, Media in the Swirl, and Perspectives on Thought Leadership. He has also published Orphans of the Storm, a novel; The Chant of Vitasta, a collection of poems; and 101 Thoughts to Light up your Path, a collection of mystical aphorisms. He has also launched a YouTube Channel, The Mystic Mariner. He has traveled to Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
