Guest Lecture on Cultural Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity

The Placement Cell of JIMS, Vasant Kunj, recently hosted an insightful guest lecture on “Cultural Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” on October 24, 2024. The session featured distinguished speakers Sh. Surinder Pal, Assistant General Manager, and Sh. Shivendra Singh, Senior Manager from the Airports Authority of India (AAI). They emphasized the critical role of cultural integrity in driving national growth and promoting unity and respect for diversity within society.

Sh. Surinder Pal presented an overview of the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), highlighting India’s rank of 85th, which underscores the need for enhanced transparency and ethical governance. He also discussed the importance of vigilance in public services and introduced the significance of Vigilance Week, observed in honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This initiative aims to raise awareness about integrity in governance, countering the common misconception that government bodies are solely corrupt.

Sh. Shivendra Singh inspired the audience by stressing the power of personal choice and responsibility in shaping the nation’s future. He encouraged students to embrace ethical values and contribute positively to society. The session concluded with a powerful reminder of the importance of integrity and learning in empowering the youth, leaving attendees motivated to take action for the betterment of the nation.
