Guest Lecture on Brand Communication

The Department of Media and Communication Studies, JIMS Vasant Kunj hosted a lecture on brand communication by Mr. Deepanjan Sarkar, Senior Analyst, Hogarth on 12th September, 2025. He introduced the concept using Coca-Cola as an example of emotional branding and explained five key elements: consistency, relevance, clarity, engagement, and integration. He highlighted the importance of consumer trust, loyalty, and understanding different audiences, from metro to rural.

Mr. Sarkar also spoke about creative storytelling, “Enametic” films, the value of research, and the continued impact of both mainline and digital communication. He discussed two case studies—Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke” and Apple’s “Shot on iPhone”—to show how effective strategies build strong audience connections. He concluded with five takeaways: integrate platforms, know your audience, stay consistent, measure results, and remain authentic.
