The guest speaker was Ms. Garima Sharma. She demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of international commercial arbitration, covering various aspects ranging from the legal framework to the practical considerations involved.

Department of School of Law, JIMS Greater Noida organized 8th Edition of Senate Extempore Moot Court Competition from 07th - 8th June 2023. The judges for the competition were Deepesh Kakkar, Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court; Rahul Arora, Assistant Professor Neerav Khare, Assistant Professor and Harsh Chaturvedi, Advocate, Allahabad High Court. The Final-round was judged by Ramesh Kumar Mishra, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Justice N.K. Bahl, Retd. District and Session Judge, UP Judicial Services.

Dear Student,
Our nation’s Independence Day is celebrated on 15th Aug every year. The Prime Minister hoists the Indian flag on the ramparts of the historical site of Red Fort in Delhi, highlights the past year's achievements, raises important issues and calls for further development. Similar events take place in state capitals, Govt & Non Govt organizations, Colleges, Schools and also in residential colonies. Independence Day is the most important national festival for any Country. National flags of different sizes are used abundantly to symbolize allegiance to the country. Over a period of time, the celebration has changed emphasis from nationalism to a broader celebration of all things. In some locations, such as New York and other US cities, 15th August has become "India Day" among the diaspora and the local populace. It's a momentous occasion filled with patriotic fervor, All Citizens come together to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment to a united, progressive, and inclusive India. We don’t have to forget that we enjoy the priceless gift of independence and sovereignty because of their unceasing labor, sacrifice and love for the nation of our visionary leaders and freedom fighters.
While we celebrate our independence, we must be aware of the difficulties and challenges that still lie ahead. We must work to end social inequities, poverty, and illiteracy. Let's join to fight communalism, corruption, and any other forces that jeopardize the peace in our country.
As accountable citizens, let us promise to do everything in our power to advance and build our cherished nation. Let's defend the values of democracy, equality, and justice in remembrance of the sacrifices made by our freedom warriors.
Let's celebrate our freedom on this Independence Day, but let's also keep in mind our obligations and responsibilities to India's future.

JIMS Kalkaji commenced foundation classes for PGDM & PGDM (IB) 2023-2025 Batch on June 21 and 22, 2023. The aim of the claasses was to familiarize the students with the curriculum, rules and regulations, teaching methodologies, placement process and extracurricular activities of the institute. The event also had special Tank Tale Episode with Mr. Amit Bagga, CEO, CMO & Co-founder, Darganj Hospitality and Geetika Gupta & Gaurav Gupta, Co-Founders & Chief Pilot, MOPP. JIMS Kalkaji also celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023. The event was graced by Mrs. Bhawana Sharma, Yoga Instructor from Yoga Certification Board under Ministry of Ayush and Mr. Ankit Jhamb, Chief Learning Officer, Grant Thornton Bharat.
