About Us

The institute has a well-developed library with 8466 books including 3035 titles. It subscribes to more than 75 journals/magazine (Indian & foreign) and 15 news papers. The library also has multiple copies of much sought after books and current and earlier issues of important journals/magazine. Recently it has started Book Bank and E-Journal services. The JIMS Campus libraries are as diverse as the campus itself and range in size from small reading rooms with a few hundred books to major research collections containing several million titles in multiple formats. With the exception of single department reading rooms, most campus libraries have their holdings listed in the shared electronic catalog and participate in other library services such as lending and document delivery.

Students have access to a lending library, reference library, paperback library, non-print media library and a vast treasure of journals, current and back volumes. The College library has a vast collection of over 1,20,000 volumes, some of which date back to the 16th century. The library staff, led by Librarian, Ms. Medha Taskar, is at the service of the reader. Their motto is, "Books are for use, they are not untouchable". There is space provided for students to relax and read. A pleasant, inviting area, the library at JIMS’s is a garden of knowledge.

The Library is central and common to all the academic activities of the College. It provides a place to study, material for study and services to assist study. With a computerised database of books in the Library, the search and retrieval of books is much easier. It is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
