The Eco Club of JIMS Vasant Kunj, with the motto “Think Responsible, Act Sustainable” aims to create environmental awareness by educating the youth, offering programs and resources for the students in a bid to make the life on earth more sustainable. The club works towards empowering individuals to take up meaningful environmental activities which sensitize them regarding ongoing issues and sustainable development. The initiatives include local outreach, integrating ideas and targeted efforts. Action based activities like Plantation Drives, E-waste Drive, Waste management, Cleanliness Drives-Swachhata Pakhwada, Swachhata Abhiyaan, the Green Up Rally, Best Out of Waste, Green Diwali Campaign, Wetland visit are some of the activities undertaken by the club to build a clean and healthy atmosphere. By promoting sound environmental behavior, the club is committed to instill the importance of ‘living sustainably’ and mobilized action against environmentally unsound practices.
